AutoFit Correction Tool by UnHolyOska AutoFit Correction Tool by UnHolyOska
Here's a quick tutorial I've knocked up for an indispensable morph tool that's freely available at ShareCG. If you're using DS4, Genesis and V4 clothing you'll find this very useful and help improve AutoFits clothing conversion.

You will need to have a ShareCG account and go here [link]

someone please help me. I can't get this to work. I got to the part were you click on the shirt that is on the Genesis Figure. Right at that point, is where I'm lost (picture 5). I don't see a "morph transfer" option to transfer morph to shirt.

Two things, first are you making sure you use the "Victoria 4 Adjusted" (image 2) and placing an initial value
in the Genesis figure "Morph Transfer" in the parameter tab (image 3), the most important part of the process,
if you don't it will not show up on the clothing parameter tab after. If those bits are right then you should get
the Morph Transfer to show when selecting the clothing item when ticking "show hidden properties" in the
Parameter tab from the drop down menu.

thanks, I figured it out. I clicked the show hidden properties menu. I didn't know where that was before.

It's so awesome!!!:)

...uhmmm... any chances for an Aiko3 version?

I wouldn't of thought so, this "fix" is for autofitting compatible clothing to Genesis in Daz, I believe they've only done the Aiko 4 figure to date.

They made the Aiko3 figure for Genesis, my Rei character uses it [link] but when trying to fit an Aiko3 dress on it, the same problem on the chest arises... looks like the problem is always the same with every figure that's why they made this [link] but ti does not support generation 3 figures:(

I sorry I can't help you out, this autofit correction tool was only for V4 and Genesis. As for the Daz version, I've never concidered purchasing it as I don't use the 3rd generation figures and personally don't think we should have to pay money for Daz Studio Autofits failings.

Yes, I agree on that point! Can't they fix it????>______<

Probably, but I think it's more of a case of moving forward than looking backwards with them, if not enough people make a noise about something nothing gets done. Hell, can't get a fix for Autofitting shoes for Genesis, (that I know of), in Daz, so you've no chance on an Aiko 3 issue I'm afraid.

This is awesome, friend, thanks so much for sharing this tut :) One thing I would suggest is putting the link in the artist's comment, so that we'll be able to click it and not have to type it out to get there :)

Interesting, I'll have to take a look at it at some time. I've been more or less ignoring autofit after disappointment with more complicated outfits back soon after DS4A came out, so I haven't even tried simple clothing and didn't know about this issue at all.

Good to hear from you Aya, I only happened to come by this by chance and knowing how many Daz/Genesis guys are here that are reliant on V4 for clothing, I had to shout it out and spread the word.

There's quite a few tutorials about in various groups and willing artists to help out also. Personally I love Daz and couldn't go back to using Poser... :)

Interesting. Im torn at whether I should try poser or not or just keep learning Daz. I guess Im complaining overmuch (venting) about Daz. The initial learning curve wasn't bad and I was rendering images way faster then I expected. Now Im in that place where I want to achieve the same standard as I see other 3d artists here executing and my questions and confusion far exceed my ability.

I started with Poser and somehow moved to Daz, bought Poser 8 and couldn't get on with it - too used to Daz to change now.

I too have idea's that exceed my skills as I see some awesome Deviations, but carry on learning tips and tricks on the way - by plugging away its the only way to get better ;)

I did have an idea for using V4 boots with Genesis, the idea was to pose Genesis with an autofitted outfit, but no boots, then to load a basic V4 and fit the boots to her, obviously posed in the same position as genesis, then invisible V4. It could possible help with hair too, but I haven't had a chance to try it out. Although, I like Genesis, I find it a little frustrating to work with after being used to Generation 4 figures for so long. :)

I know what you mean, I've gotten to the point now I'm pretty much happy with Autofit clothes wise, not perfect, but good enough for what I do. As for hair, I never Autofit hair, just add to the scene, (cancel Autofit if it kicks in) and parent the hair to Genesis's head, finally adjust to fit, least you keep all the movement morphs.

As for footwear, I'd be greatful for a solution here, Autofit sucks just as much before the Autofit correction tool on female clothing. I can see your idea working to point and would be fine for one-offs if you can get it aligned perfectly, but alas for me I'd want something practical for better work-flow.

Thanks for commenting and sharing. :)

yeah, it's a lot of extra work. Really I am so glad that DS4 installed as a separate program from DS3. Gives us breathing space to learn how to use it. :)
